Risk Management, Health & Safety

Risk management, health and safety is an important aspect of the management of the Group with ongoing measures being taken to identify, assess, mitigate, manage and monitor risk across the RSSC Group.  The focus of RSSC’s risk management approach is to manage and control risk in the most effective and efficient manner. 

Environment

An Environmental Policy is in place aimed at facilitating and ensuring the adoption of responsible strategies and processes for the management and control of the impact of RSSC’s operations on the environment. 

ISO Certification

In order to retain a competitive edge and maintain market share in an increasingly global market, RSSC accepts the need to adopt programmes and systems which involve levels of quality and production efficiency standards and adherence to best practice in respect of social and environmental concerns. Against this background, RSSC has achieved ISO certification in all the relevant areas of its operations.

IMS Certification

All divisions are certified for :

  • ISO 9001:2008   - Quality

  • ISO 14001:2004 - Environmental certification

  • ISO 22001:2007 - Food Safety (Factories and Distillery)

  • OHSAS 18001:2007 - Health and Safety certification

  • AMS 16001:2003 - HIV/AIDS

  • Kosher  - (Factories only)

  • Halaal   - (Factories only)
